Our Story, so far.
Hi, friends!
We’re the Pink Pelican Tours team - a crew of country girls that includes two sisters! We love exploring new places, meeting new people and squeezing every drop out of life. Our motto is simple, ‘Go have fun!’
The Pink Pelican tale kicked off over a glass of wine at the Cootamundra Picnic Races. Felicity was already thinking of starting a tour company, and after chatting with Sophie, things got exciting. Fast forward, and here we are – your go-to for specialised small group tours, including food and interior design shopping.
So, what's the deal with Pink Pelican Tours?
Well, we're all about offering unique and curated adventures for individuals who are up for exciting new travel experiences. Each tour has its own vibe, whether you're into savoring food and produce, exploring bustling markets and discovering artisanal treasures, uncovering local hotspots, or immersing yourself in hidden gems and the rich tapestry of culture and history - it’s likely you will love traveling with Pink Pelican.
We’ll be offering tours in autumn and spring each year - the perfect time to travel when the weather is still lovely and there’s less crowds. Let’s maximise our travel experience!
Our tour guides and coordinators are all based in regional Australia, guiding you with their expert touch from the beginning to the end. Our guides bring a wealth of specialised knowledge and firsthand experience to every Pink Pelican tour. They're not just familiar with the route itself; they know the landscape, are immersed in the local culture, its people, they can point you to the must-see sites as well as the hidden gems. The biggest bonus, they're the go-to, knowing exactly where to find the best aperol or marg and serving up recommendations for the most delicious pasta or tacos along the way.
To ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible, we've got a Tour Coordinator on board to take care of the nitty-gritty. We take our commitment to delivering seamless travel experiences seriously. Our dedicated Tour Coordinators play a pivotal role in ensuring every detail is handled with expertise and precision. Drawing from substantial industry experience, like a remarkable 15-year track record in the travel sector, having served as a Travel Consultant at two of Sydney’s most esteemed travel agencies. The other, has spent the last two decades as the Researcher for Getaway, Australia’s longest-running and highest-rating travel show. With their extensive backgrounds, our Tour Coordinators possess an understanding of the intricacies of travel logistics, providing our travelers with a journey that exceeds expectations.
Our tour groups are intentionally small and cozy, capped at around 14 individuals, creating an intimate setting that feels more like traveling with a close-knit family than a conventional tour. We feel this allows for a genuine connection among fellow travelers, fostering an environment where you'll not only discover new places but also get to know each other on a personal level. It's about more than just exploring together; it's sharing laughter, swapping stories, and creating lasting bonds through shared experiences. We believe that the journey is as much about the people you travel with as the destinations you explore, and our small group size ensures that you're never just another face in the crowd, but a valued member of our travel family.
Our all-inclusive packages cover everything – where you stay, what you eat, how you get around, and all the fun activities. We pick hotels with charm and prime locations, focusing on top-notch comfort and service. Sure, things might vary a bit in the countryside villages, but we always aim for the best.
As we look ahead, the vision for Pink Pelican Tours is all about growing, evolving, and bringing even more epic tours your way. We're pretty pumped about the journey ahead – and we hope you are too!
