You have Questions.
We have Answers.
-
How many tours will be offered each year?
For each specialised tour, we will offer two tours in autumn, and also two tours in spring per year. We plan to branch out into other specialised tours as we grow.
-
Will the tours visit different international locations each year?
Yes. The locations will be determined by the specialised Tour Guides, where they consider the best locations for their tours and where they can best share their knowledge.
-
What is included in the tour price?
We offer comprehensive packages which include accommodation, daily breakfast, daily dinners, numerous lunches, daily bottled water, private minibus transport, Specialised Tour Guide, Tour Coordinator, entry to all museums and attractions arranged on the tour, hotel baggage handling (hotel porters) and all gratuities included for local services.
-
What kind of accommodation will we be staying in?
Your accommodation is a key component of your trip. We take the time to carefully select the most suitable hotels for their charm, style and central location. We seek a blend of 4–5-star boutique accommodation and upscale comfort hotels with quality level of service. In the more remote locations, hotel standards may vary, but we always try to maintain high accommodation standards wherever we go.
-
How active are the tours?
You need to be reasonably fit to participate in our tours. Some days on tour require a lot of walking such as the orientation city tours. All guests must be able to walk for a duration of 20 minutes without requiring a rest stop, and walk up a flight of 20 steps without hand rails and assistance. Guests will have to negotiate getting on and off the mini-bus on a regular basis and manage cobbled streets and uneven walking terrain from time to time. If you are unsure whether our tours are suitable for you, please check with us.
-
I have some health issues. Can I still join the tour?
If your health problem is minor and you can self-manage it without additional care or special facilities, we are very happy for you to join a tour. If you are concerned about how you might deal with a health issue whilst on tour, please contact us at the time of booking. Please bear in mind that our tour guides are just that, and cannot be expected to act in a caring capacity at the expense of the other tour guests.
-
Do you cater for special dietary requests?
Pink Pelican Tours will endeavour to cater for all special dietary requests. Please advise our team of your dietary requirements at the time of booking and we will include the information within your booking to ensure you are catered for appropriately. Please be aware that in more remote locations, options may be more limited.
-
Is it okay if I'm travelling alone?
We welcome guests who are travelling as couples, friends or on their own. If travelling alone - you will be accommodated in a single room with the payment of the Single Supplement. Individual travellers can request for our team to match them up in a twin share room with another individual of the same sex. This is not always possible, and if we are unable to match you in a twin share room by the final tour balance payment date, the single room supplement rate will apply. An important thing to note - should you be ‘matched’ with another person, Pink Pelican Tours takes no responsibility if the selection is not to your satisfaction. You must bear in mind there will always be a risk of incompatibility.
-
Can I bring children on the tour?
Our tours are Adults Only. Unfortunately, children are not allowed on our tours.
-
Can I extend my accommodation stay at the beginning or end of the tour?
Yes. We are happy to assist arranging this (subject to availability). Speak to our team as early as possible.
-
Do all tours have guaranteed departures?
All tours for Pink Pelican Tours are subject to minimum numbers. Every effort is made to ensure the tours take place but if the minimum number of guests is not reached, the tour will be cancelled with all monies refunded.
-
Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
Insurance is compulsory for guests on Pink Pelican Tours trips. We strongly advise you obtain travel insurance from the time of booking to provide full cover. It is a condition of travel that each passenger is adequately covered by an appropriate insurance cover. Please also check the finer detail of your insurance cover and ensure you are aware of its conditions. Your insurance policy details must be provided before departure of your trip. Failure to do so will mean elimination from the trip.
-
How do I secure a spot on one of your tours?
A non-refundable deposit of $1500 must be made to secure a spot on the tour.
